Adkins Alternative Care

The Human Body is a pure glass of water, each trauma, injury, and emotional issue is dirt or grime that eventually
makes the water (body) foul and sick.  If left alone it will clear by settling.  But eventually it will begin to form a crust
or sediment that is more difficult to break loose and clear.  Reiki is like fresh water that flushes out the dirt and
helps to break free the sediment, and hopefully prevents it from returning.
East Meets West
It is necessary to treat the "whole" person.  Reiki can be used alone or in combination with other modalities such
as herbalism, chiropractic, accupuncture and even allopathic medicine.  It is the perfect complement to any other
health care system.

Mind Body and Spirit Are One, and they should be treated that way…
Alternatives do exist, Be self educated, Be self responsible, Be well.
Today I see my practice as that of a Village Wise Woman of the 21st century.  A
much maligned practice that went out of favor with the discovery of science and the
Inquisition. I have reclaimed an ancient profession which joins healing, herbs,
artwork, spiritual philosophy, intuition and whatever else I can learn along the way…
my goal is to help people learn to help themselves.

As a healer, I am simply the conduit – the work still must be done by the client.  As a
philosopher I believe that we are each responsible for ourselves and that includes
our health.

In my practice I have integrated Reiki with other healing energies such as crystals
and visualizations.  This combination works well for emotional blocks, grief, loss and
even mis-direction.  During a Reiki session we are churning up the static negative
energies that are toxic to us and then given the opportunity to release it.  Often my
clients will express a lighter sensation when leaving a session, as if a weight has
been lifted..
