What is Reiki?
Reiki is a natural healing system designed to
assist in healing and help achieve energetic
balance.  Reiki is administered by a
practitioner who serves as a conduit through
whom the Universal Life Force Energy can be
transmitted to the recipient by either hands-on
or distance healing techniques.

How does Reiki Energy Flow
Reiki flows through our bodies, typically the
palms at different rates of speed, depending
on various factors such as the extent of the
recipient’s illness, degree of blockage, their
personal readiness to accept the energy.

Is Reiki a form of faith healing?
No, Reiki is not a religion nor is it based on the
acceptance of any religious doctrine.  Having a
specific belief system is not a requirement for
Reiki to work.  Reiki’s principles are spiritual in
nature and encourage spiritual empowerment
and growth, but the growth and development
are individual in nature.

Will Reiki ever run out?
When a practitioner is giving a treatment to a
client they are giving of their time, and their
intent to assist, but they are not giving away
their own energy.  Reiki is infinite and will
never run out.

How does Reiki feel?
There is nothing “common” about Reiki, but often
sensations of heat or coolness, “pins and
needles”, tingling, a variety of vibration type
sensations, electrical sparks, numbness,
throbbing, itching, deep relaxation and possible
sleepiness.  Additionally, many report “seeing”
intense colors, symbols or pictures.  On the other
hand, some people “feel” nothing, their
experience is seen in the reduction of their
imbalances and illness.

What is a Reiki attunement?
A Reiki attunement is an opening of energetic
channels by way of a ritual.  The ritual involves
energetic placements of Reiki symbols into a
person’s aura by way of a specific sequence of
action around a person’s body.
